Amplifying Voices, Inspiring Mission
Nairobi, Kenya — 23rd August 2025.
The Communication Network for Catholic Sisters in Kenya (CNCS) has unveiled its first-ever Strategic Plan 2025–2030, a milestone that sets a bold direction for amplifying the voices of Catholic Sisters and strengthening their role in evangelization, advocacy, and social transformation.
At the launch, Sr. Josephine Kangogo, DSH, Board Chair of CNCS, emphasized the spirit of collaboration that shaped the plan:
“This plan is the fruit of many voices, the Board, staff, member congregations, partners, and stakeholders, all united in one mission: to make visible the often unseen work of Catholic Sisters in Kenya. With faith, unity, and strategic action, we will tell authentic stories of hope, service, and transformation.”
Sr. Michelle Njeri, OSF, Director of CNCS, outlined the plan’s priorities and called for collective support:
“As we launch our first Strategic Plan 2025–2030, we commit to amplifying the voices of Catholic Sisters in Kenya through media, training, partnerships, and innovation. Guided by our four key priorities: media evangelization and digital transformation, institutional strengthening, partnerships and collaboration, and financial sustainability.we invite partners and friends to join us in shaping a more just, compassionate, and faith-filled society.”
Representing the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, one of CNCS’s earliest supporters, Sr. Agnes Njeri, Programme Officer for the Catholic Sisters Initiative, commended the network’s pioneering role:
“This is not simply a document or a formality; it is a living vision for unity, mission, and transformation. CNCS was the first communication network for Catholic Sisters in Africa, and it has become a trailblazer and mentor to others. By amplifying their voices, Catholic Sisters are promoting social justice, compassion, and service, not only in Kenya, but far beyond its borders.”
The Strategic Plan 2025–2030 provides a roadmap built on four priorities: media evangelization and digital transformation, institutional strengthening, partnerships and collaboration, and financial sustainability. With these, CNCS seeks to harness digital technology, build capacity, foster collaboration, and ensure sustainability in telling the transformative stories of Catholic Sisters.
