Today, we mark a joyful and meaningful milestone, the 1st Anniversary of the Communication Network for Catholic Sisters – Kenya. It’s a time to pause, give thanks, and reflect on a year filled with growth, learning, and connection.
A Vision Brought to Life
Launched on June 14, 2024, this network was born from a shared vision: to amplify the voices of Catholic sisters and foster stronger communication across congregations in Kenya. In just one year, the network has blossomed into a vibrant space where sisters tell their stories, highlight their ministries, and collaborate in powerful ways.
These stories are more than just updates, they are witnesses of hope and transformation. From the grassroots to national platforms, Catholic sisters are leading initiatives that promote peace, deliver healthcare, empower women and girls, protect the environment, and uphold human dignity. The Communication Network exists to ensure their voices are heard and celebrated, not only within religious circles but in the broader community.
Honoring Those Who Made This Possible
This celebration would not be complete without recognizing the people and institutions who have walked this journey with us:
The Association of Sisterhoods of Kenya (AOSK) has been a foundational pillar, providing the space, support, and guidance needed to nurture this initiative.
Special appreciation goes to Sr. Pasilisa Namikoye, Executive Secretary of AOSK, whose leadership and encouragement have been vital from day one.
To our committed Board Members and staff, thank you for your dedication, creativity, and hard work in shaping the network’s identity and direction.
To the Sister Communicators across Kenya: your voices, stories, and passion for mission are the heartbeat of this network.
We are deeply grateful to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, our generous donor, whose support has enabled us to grow and serve meaningfully.
Moving Forward in Mission
As we step into our second year, we carry with us a renewed sense of purpose. We believe that communication is more than a tool,it is a ministry of presence, witness, and transformation. Through continued collaboration, training, and storytelling, we aim to reach even more sisters, amplify more voices, and contribute to a more just, compassionate, and connected world.
Happy Anniversary to all who have been part of this journey. May the coming years be filled with deeper connections, greater impact, and stories that inspire.
